Armed Protestors in Minnesota Chant ‘a Life for a Life’ Outside Kim Potter Trial

A day after advertising the event on its Facebook page, a black nationalist militia showed up at the Hennepin County Courthouse in Minneapolis, implying that the militia would commit violence.

“Black power. An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth. A limb for a limb. A life for a life,” the Lion of Judah Armed Forces yelled outside the court.

The group advertised the protest on its Facebook page.

It was protesting the death of Daunte Wright, who was allegedly killed by ex-Brooklyn Heights police officer Kimberly Potter during the spring.

Body camera footage of the incident shows Potter shooting Wright as he began to flee from a traffic stop. She has been charged with first and second-degree manslaughter.

She claims that she meant to shoot Wright with her taser.

The group also protested outside the courthouse in Georgia, where three men were tried and convicted of the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.

The Lion of Judah Armed Forces is led by Nasiy Nasir X.

He posted a recruitment advertisement on his Facebook, asking for help to “bring change to the chosen nation.”

He is also described as a member of Minnesota’s chapter of the New Black Panther Nation.

“We’re also the vanguards of our community, making sure that justice is served within the community,” he told KSTP in July.

He also said that the Black Panthers stand for unity.

“We tell the community that the crimes will continue to get worse if we if as a community don’t come together and unify, the community right now is a burning house, the people have not put the fire out, due the fact of the lack of unity and lack of people stepping forward to turn these criminal in, to turn these murders in, that’s roaming amongst our community,” he said.
