Disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and his co-conspirators have seriously tarnished the credibility of their once-venerable institution.
During a 60 Minutes interview Sunday, McCabe once again admitted that he a met with a group of high ranking, unelected, unaccountable Department of Justice personnel in May 2017 to plot President Trump’s removal from office. He wasn’t trying to admit guilt — although that’s exactly what he did — he was bragging about his role in a treasonous plot to overthrow a president duly elected by the American people.
Make no mistake — this plot was an attempted political assassination, a decapitation effort, and it was undertaken by the very people responsible for upholding the rule of law in this country.
McCabe’s resistance ally, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, was the one who repeatedly pitched the idea of wearing a wire into the Oval Office to secretly record sensitive conversations with the President.
Highlighting the agency’s problems, Rosenstein responded to McCabe’s book saying his claims are “factually incorrect,” during a statement that was pure spin, in which he never directly denied McCabe’s wiretap claims.
This is the current state of affairs within the United States Justice Department — finger-pointing, betrayal, lies, sensitive press leaks, and obstruction of Congress. There are still high ranking unelected bureaucrats advancing Rosenstein’s and McCabe’s sinister agenda from within the J. Edgar Hoover building. Their primary goal, as always, is to bring down President Trump.
McCabe and his corrupt associates at the FBI created an insurance policy in case President Trump won the election, and we’ve seen it pay off for its creators ever since.
They used Hillary Clinton’s bought and paid for fake opposition research as the basis for their FISA warrant application — without telling the judge about the political origin of the information — in order to wiretap and spy on American citizens.
When that didn’t work, they plotted to overturn the legitimate results of the election because they didn’t like the result. McCabe and agents at the FBI thought they knew better than the American people, and now they’re being exposed as would-be traitors.
Rather than expressing remorse over his blatant disregard for the rule of law — a particularly disturbing transgression for someone at the highest levels of federal law enforcement — McCabe is proudly boasting of his misdeeds as he seeks out the adulation of rabidly anti-Trump journalists in the mainstream media.
While McCabe revels in the praise of liberal journalists, though, his shocking boasts about leading discussions to propose against the President of the United States are causing ordinary Americans to lose trust in the FBI.
