Joe Biden Stumbles Pro-Abortion Narrative: Admits It’s ‘A Child’ Who Is Aborted

Many in the pro-life community say Joe Biden is the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history, but he bungled the narrative of the abortion industry that props up his presidency Tuesday by acknowledging it is “a child” who is aborted during the procedure.

The abortion industry and its political and media allies have done their best to dehumanize unborn babies, to strip them of any rights to personhood, and to attempt to nip in the bud any emotional attachment Americans may have to them by referring to them as “a clump of cells,” “the contents of the pregnancy,” and similar terms.

In impromptu remarks in response to a question about the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion in a case that could overturn Roe v. Wade, self-described “devout Catholic” Biden said:

The idea that we’re gonna make a judgment that is going to say that no one can make the judgment to choose to abort a child based on a decision by the Supreme Court I think goes way overboard.

National pro-life leader Lila Rose, president of Live Action, tweeted her response to Biden’s comment.

“There it is, folks,” Rose said. “Even our pro-abort POTUS admitting it’s a ‘child.’ Abortion kills a child. Human beings. Children. They know it. These children deserve to live.”

“Biden’s pro-abortion handlers are very upset right now,” Rose continued. “He fumbled their big moment. The pro-abortion rule book is very simple: NEVER ADMIT IT’S A CHILD. ALWAYS DOWNPLAY THEIR HUMANITY. OR ELSE, WE LOSE.”

“Otherwise, people may wake up and say no, it’s never ok to kill a *child,* she added.

On Wednesday Biden addressed the question of abortion again, defending the right to abortion as an extension of natural rights that come with being a “child of God.”

“This reminds me of the debate I had with Robert Bork,” he said in remarks that were not entirely intelligible. He made the claim that “Bork believed the only reason you had any inherent rights is because the government gave them to you.”

“I said, ‘I believe the rights that I have, not because the government gave them to me, which you believe, but because I’m just a child of God, I exist,’” Biden said. “I delegated by joining this union, to delegate oblig – some rights I have to the government for social good.”

Some pro-life Americans were quick to comment about Biden’s defense of abortion by calling himself a “child of God.”

“Biden literally just made the case against abortion,” noted political fundraiser and former journalist Beth Baumann.

“Biden is connecting the right to abort an innocent unborn child to his broader alleged belief in natural God-given rights,” Washington Examiner journalist Jerry Dunleavy also responded.

“If it’s a debate on natural rights, pro-life argument is way stronger,” he continued. “Endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights … among these are *Life*…’”
