Conservative Powerhouses Head to the Border for ‘Symposium at the Wall’

A number of big names in conservative politics are heading to Sunland Park, New Mexico for the first-ever “Symposium at the Wall.”

The event kicked off Thursday night and will continue through Friday and Saturday with a variety of guest speakers and panelists. Most of the three-day symposium will be live-streamed on YouTube.

“We are at a breaking point. It is urgent for our nation to fully address the human and drug trafficking and reality of life on the border, the challenges to patriots in law enforcement who defend our borders, and the numbers of people crossing over our southern border illegally,” Kris Kobach, general counsel for We Build the Wall, Inc., said in a press release.

“We the people of the United States must acknowledge this crisis. I challenge those leaders who oppose us to come join us and present their case,” he added.

The event is co-sponsored by the We Build the Wall, Inc., an organization that grew out of veteran Brian Kolfage’s viral border-wall GoFundMe. Time Magazine recently named Kolfage one of the 25 most influential people on the Internet.

Kolfage will be joined at the event by dozens of popular politicians and social media influencers, including Steve Bannon, Corey Lewandowski, Candace Owens, Raheem Kassam, Mike Cernovich, Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX-01), and many more.

A full list of speakers and a schedule of events can be viewed here. The event will take place at a newly-erected segment of the border wall built entirely with funds from Kolfage’s fundraiser.

According to a press release, the symposium will address issues such as human and drug trafficking, immigration, citizenship, the role of Congress in securing the border, and the economic implications of unfettered illegal immigration.

“With Big Tech increasing efforts to censor those who dissent from the open borders agenda, it’s more important than ever that Americans who know there is a real crisis at the border learn to harness the power of social media,” said Rogan O’Handley, who runs the popular Instagram account “DC Draino” and will be speaking at the symposium.

“My platform not only helps educate, but also shows people across the world, especially millennials, that others think the way they do, and that they shouldn’t give into the Left’s narrative,” he added. “Facts and truth are not hate speech.”
