Georgia Rep. Taylor Greene Files Articles of Impeachment Against Biden

A freshman U.S. House member from Georgia Thursday filed articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, on Biden’s first full day in office.

“I’m filing articles of impeachment against Joe Biden for abuse of power, and he used the office of the Vice Presidency – he abused the power by threatening to withhold money – withhold foreign aid to Ukraine in order help his son, Hunter Biden in his business scams in a Ukrainian energy company,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA-14) told Real America’s News.

Taylor Greene was referring to Hunter Biden’s business dealings with the now-infamous Burisma Holdings, an energy company on whose Board of Directors the younger Biden sat while his father was Vice President. In a 2018 speech hosted by the Council on Foreign relations, the elder Biden bragged that he forced then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire a prosecutor who was investigating Burisma, or risk losing foreign aid from the United States.

“We cannot have a person in the President’s seat wielding the power of the United States that is willing to abuse his power, and willing to help his son basically make money,” Taylor Greene said. “This is the Biden Crime Family, and there’s an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop, and there’s a lot of information there that is very damning, and it’s a dangerous situation for our entire country.”

Hunter Biden’s laptop was made public when its contents were turned over to law enforcement by the owner of a Delaware computer repair shop before the 2020 election. It allegedly contained communications between the younger Biden and his business partners pertaining to foreign dealings in Ukraine, for which he is under investigation by federal authorities.

“The evidence is already there,” Taylor Greene continued. “Joe Biden is on camera, on tape himself admitting that he threatened to hold back a billion dollars. Those are his own words. So that one’s easy. It’s already out there.”

Trump was impeached twice in the U.S. House, once for an alleged “quid pro quo” wherein Democrats claimed he attempted to use American foreign policy as leverage to get current Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to give him political “dirt” on the Biden family. That impeachment lacked the requisite number of votes in the U.S. Senate to remove Trump from office.
