Trump Releases Statement on Georgia Lieutenant Governor

President Donald Trump released a statement on Monday celebrating the decision that Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan will not seek a second term.

“Good news for Georgia and the Republican Party. Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan won’t be running again for office. He was the one who, along with Governor Brian Kemp, stopped the Georgia State Senate from doing the job they wanted to do on the 2020 Presidential Election Fraud,” Trump said.

Duncan has received widespread criticism for his actions over the past several months, as reported by The Georgia Star News. He has consistently advocated against President Trump and his supporters and their place within the Republican Party.

“Duncan’s fight against Election Fraud made him unelectable. His former top aide, Chip Lake, said that the Lieutenant Governor would not win another term in office,” President Trump added.

After the 2020 election, Duncan has refused to acknowledge the widespread concerns over election security and questionable actions taken during the election process.

In fact, Fulton County, a population center of Georgia, has demonstrated specific cause for concern over the way they managed mail-in ballots during the election. In a report compiled by The Georgia Star News, the county has failed to produce a complete chain of custody documents for 18,901 vote-by-mail absentee ballots deposited by voters into drop boxes — even though the 2020 election was over six months ago.

Additionally, the investigation conducted by the Star News demonstrated that there are no absentee ballot transfer forms for 385 out of the 1,591 drop box collections that took place in Fulton County between September 24, 2020 and November 3, 2020, which accounted for 18,901 absentee ballots deposited in drop boxes, according to a spreadsheet produced by Fulton County.

Duncan plans to turn his political efforts towards building a platform known as “GOP 2.0” as reported by The Georgia Star News.
