If you want a little fun, set up a game of “Political Family Feud.” One person in your group can serve as host and do his or her best Richard Dawson or Steve Harvey impression while reading the questions. Here’s a sample:
“100 people surveyed, top five answers are on the board and here’s the question: Name something the Obama administration will always be known for?”
Buzzer sounds. (Player) “Uh, Obamacare….?” (Host) “Be more specific.” (Player) “Um… Obamacare blew up the health insurance market, skyrocketed premium prices and ballooned costs in the states that adopted Medicaid expansion…?”
Ca-ching…ding ding ding!!!! “Number one answer!”
After deciding to play the successful side reels off a series of winning responses.
“Achieved record sustained lethargic economic growth.” Ding!
“Encouraged constant racial strife and largescale protests in big cities across the country.” Ding!
“Conducted feckless and ineffective foreign policy.” Ding!!!!, and,
“Waged a non-stop war against traditional values and culture leading to same-sex marriage, acceptance of unmitigated illegal immigration and a general malaise rivaling that of the Carter administration.” DIINNNGGG!!!!
That’s it? There are lots more answers, you say. What about the deep state’s witch hunt of a presidential candidate and sworn-in president? (Host) “Well, that one’s yet to conclude…and, sorry, these are all the replies listed on the card.”
There really are many more responses to this hypothetical “Political Family Feud” question — in fact, so many the game could practically go on forever. Living through the eight-year nightmare that was the Obama administration wasn’t easy for liberty-loving Americans, bearing witness to the sad destruction of the country that took place before our very eyes. Twenty-six months removed from Obama’s tenure the nation — and world — has moved on to a much more positive outlook courtesy of outsider President Donald Trump.
Trump himself may not be wildly popular with the citizenry, but his policies are. And the stellar economic numbers play it out. So, who would even want Obama back?
Well, how about Obama himself? Daniel Chaitin reported at The Washington Examiner, “Former President Barack Obama said Monday these are ‘challenging times’ but he remains hopeful because of the next generation of leaders that he aims to guide…
“[Obama] told a packed arena at Bell MTS Place how he plans to create a ‘university for social change’ that will serve as a hub for young people in the U.S. and around the world who are skeptical of the ‘old institutions.’ ‘If we train them — if we give them skills, support, financing, media training, spotlights, then they’re the ones that are going to carry forward the solutions that we so desperately need,’ Obama said…
“’If we could form a network of those young leaders, not just in the United States, but around the world, then we got something,’ he said, adding, ‘if we can train a million Baracks and Michelles who are running around thinking they can change the world’ hope is achievable.”
Hope is achievable? Wasn’t hope the basis for his presidential campaign in the first place? Hope for what? If it’s a job, a livelihood, a few more coins in your pocket and a chicken in every pot, President Trump’s proved much better at providing all of those things than Obama ever did.
Obama’s vision almost sends chills up and down your spine, doesn’t it? If you didn’t know better it’s almost as though the Democrats’ 2008 “chosen one” is planning on erecting a large factory to clone himself and his wife, the stuff of scary science fiction movies intended to stimulate and manipulate the braindead social media age group. Only this isn’t fiction — and Obama is very serious about maneuvering the next generation.
Fueled by gobs of money from liberal Silicon Valley billionaires, the American left is no longer merely content to compete in and win elections. Now they’re seeking to sink their talons into the brains of young impressionables so as to fabricate millions of Barack and Michelle-like we-know-better-than-you robots. These brainwashed foot-soldiers of the new socialist revolution will be even more aggressive and less tolerant than the old guard. They’ll make the 60’s flower-power hippy generation appear disinterested and compliant by comparison.
If these mindless zombie leftists are “skeptical of the old institutions” it’s because they were never taught the value of them to begin with. So much could be garnered from a trip to Colonial Williamsburg or by reading and studying the founding documents. Today’s youth lacks the intellectual underpinning to understand the great classics the Founding Fathers studied and relied upon to foster the greatest and freest republic the earth’s ever known. Where is the analysis of John Locke? How about Montesquieu? Or Jean-Jacques Rousseau?
Wouldn’t the younger generation absorb more from reading about Thomas Paine, Samuel Adams, James Madison, George Mason, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry and George Washington than probing community activism in the mold of Bill Ayres or Saul Alinsky… or Barack and Michelle Obama?
First and foremost today’s kids need to ascertain how to reason and question rather than simply vilify and condemn the “old institutions” as Obama suggested. Recent polls indicate high percentages of today’s youth blame America for the world’s ills, which indicates they are not only being purposely misinformed about America’s vaunted place in western civilization, they’re incapable of identifying and analogizing the real threats to world order.
Shouldn’t students be schooled on the vile rights-confiscating situations in Venezuela and Iran and the poisonous ideology behind the Islamic State? How about North Korea? Or the religious persecution and suppression taking place in China?
Sanity’s been replaced by political correctness and the Democrat Party — as embodied by the Obamas, Clintons and new socialists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — has become the figurehead for the radical “hope and change” these people are peddling. Why is Bernie Sanders held out as a hero for demonizing American business while Donald Trump is vilified for championing domestic manufacturing and defending the American workforce?
It doesn’t take a genius to see the liberals’ worldview is pretty backwards. Obama also hopes his legacy will be revived by having Joe Biden move into the White House. Again, Daniel Chaitin reported at The Washington Examiner, “Obama [stressed] that Biden has all the key elements he said was integral to putting together a successful team, which includes integrity, humility, and competency.
“’He complemented me,’ Obama said of their time in the White House together. ‘He looked at the world and approached certain problems with a different set of experiences. But he had integrity, and he is a big-hearted person and a loyal person. And we shared a common set of values.’ But perhaps most important, Obama noted, was Biden was not his ‘clone.’
“’It was useful for me to have somebody who wasn’t a clone. But, could say, ‘Mr. President, here’s how it looks like to me,’ or, ‘I’ve known that guy for a long time, here’s how I’d advise your approach,’’ Obama said. ‘He was as good of a partner and vice president as anybody could have hoped for.’”
Given Obama’s fondness for creating clones his remarks on Biden were a bit odd. It’s often said Trump only listens to himself — but if anything, Obama was the guy keeping a counsel of one. Biden was mere window dressing for the Obama dynasty. Why do you think Obama wants Biden to run against Trump?
The fact Obama appears to be reemerging ahead of next year’s election shows how desperate Democrats are to recall a time when they controlled everything. Obama’s “university for social change” is a scary prospect indeed. There’s a lot more damage these people can do.
