Mike Lindell on Running Against Ilhan Omar: ‘Not at This Time’

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a supporter of President Donald Trump and a Minnesota native, joined “Fox & Friends” Friday morning to set the record straight on rumors that he will challenge Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN-05).

“Well, the answer is not at this time. That was kind of taken all out of context,” Lindell said. “I would love to do it, but I’ve got such a big platform going on right now.”

Lindell, a former crack addict, is in the process of launching a recovery network for fellow addicts and will direct the proceeds from his forthcoming book to that effort.

He did say he will do everything he can to help the president win in 2020 and “help turn Minnesota completely red.”

Lindell pointed to Omar’s business policies and her position on Israel as reasons why she should be out of office, but said he plans to focus on “all the great things that are going on in Minnesota” under President Trump.

“I was a very functioning cocaine addict for about 20 years, and that switched to crack cocaine in the early 2000s. God gave me an idea for this pillow around 2004 and I put everything I had into it,” Lindell shared during the interview.

He said he’s been sober from drugs and alcohol since 2009, saying his recovery network will “help millions of addicts” and create thousands of jobs.
