The Democrat presidential candidates spent two full nights bickering on the debate stage over how best to dismantle the Trump economy and usher in a new era of social upheaval. President Trump, however, will only need one night to dismantle their deceitful claims and outline his plans for keeping the current economic boom going.
Once again the Democrats competed to see who can promise the most government handouts and express the most hysteria over the President’s rebuke of America-hating socialists. Last time around, we actually saw every single candidate on the debate stage promise taxpayer-funded healthcare for people who illegally enter our country, and several of them even delivered canned Spanish-language statements in a pitiful sop to Hispanic voters. This time was no different.
After the shameless extremism and mendacious pandering that characterized the second round of Democratic primary debates, President Trump’s fourth-ever rally in Cincinnati will be a refreshing breath of fresh air for all Ohioans.
In his return to the banks of the Ohio River, Donald Trump will deliver his plan for extending the greatest period of economic expansion in American history, shoring up the foundations of American strength and greatness for generations to come, and healing the deep ideological divides that are pitting Americans against one another.
The Democrats, even in their most “moderate” moments, are not preaching reconciliation, but revenge; not mutual prosperity, but reparations; not retrenchment, but resentment.
Fortunately, there’s another way – the path President Trump has blazed over the past two and a half years, through a combination of pragmatic policy and courageous vision.
America is working again, with the lowest unemployment rate since the 1960s, the fastest wage growth since before the Great Recession, and the biggest manufacturing expansion in a generation.
America is also safe again, with Trump’s presidency marking the first American administration in decades without a major new military intervention.
And America is finally putting its own interests first again, with a bold new approach to trade and immigration policy that is bringing the era of surrender and lawlessness to an end.
Ohio will be vital to keeping that dream going. In 2016, Ohio voters not only delivered their state’s electoral votes for Donald Trump, they gave him a margin of victory the pundits didn’t think possible. Last November, they did it again, proving the strength of the MAGA coalition by electing Mike DeWine to the governor’s mansion.
Tonight, Governor DeWine will join the President on stage to help lay the groundwork for a repeat of those performances in 2020.
The people of Ohio have twice shown that they have the foresight and wisdom to put American greatness above the partisan hobby horses and radical pipedreams of an out-of-touch Democratic Party. We can’t let that lull us into a false sense of security, though. The 2020 presidential race will be a long, hard fight – and it’s already begun.
That’s why I invite you to join the President, the governor, and tens of thousands of other freedom-loving patriots at the U.S. Bank Arena tonight. President Trump only has one night to debunk two days worth of extremism and lies from the Democratic debates. Fortunately, that’s all he needs.
