Steve Gill Analysis: From a ‘Blue Wave’ to a ‘Ripple,’ Pelosi’s Vow to Raise Taxes If Dems Win House Lands With a Thud

Gill and Pelosi

Conservative political commentator and Tennessee Star contributor Steve Gill said Wednesday on The Gill Reportbroadcast live on WETR 92.3 FM in Knoxville, that despite the mainstream media narrative to the contrary, the so-called ‘blue wave’ we keep hearing about “is looking increasingly like it may be a ripple.”

In his ‘Final Thoughts’ segment of Wednesday’s broadcast, Gill said, “Rick Scott in Florida is now holding a slight lead in the Senate race in Florida according to a new poll released just today. Governor Rick Scott is leading 44 percent to to against Bill Nelson’s 40 percent, according to a Florida Atlantic University survey.”

He continued:

A four-point lead… you know that “blue wave” you keep hearing so much about from the Democrats is looking increasingly like it may be a ripple. And part of it is because of what the Democrats are saying on the campaign trail.

Nancy Pelosi was interviewed today at Politico Playbook in an interview that the Republicans ought to make sure is a campaign ad for every Republican House candidate in the country by, well, the end of the day.

Jake Tremmel was doing the interview. They asked Pelosi about GOP claims that a Democrat House majority would pass a single-payer healthcare system and raise taxes.

Her response: ‘the second part is accurate.’

Oh – so the Democrats are going to run on raising taxes after the American people have just gotten the benefit of a tax cut, thanks to Donald Trump and the Republicans? Not a single Democrat voted for the tax cut. And yet Namcy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are talking about raising taxes if they get their hands on the reins of power again.

I just don’t think that this is a strong, positive campaign position for the Democrats — but what do I know? I’m not a Democrat. Maybe they love taxes…. well, they love taxing other people.

And they’ve basically taxed California, and Illinois, and New York, and all the other places they run into economic oblivion. People are fleeing as fast as they can to get away from the high-tax states that the Democrats have created. And yet, they’re promising to do more of the same nationally.

Just yesterday we saw CBO figures (Congressional Budget Office figures) that showed that the tax cuts have already produced more revenue that anybody could have imagined.

In fact, in the month of April, the tax cuts produed more revenue for the government – for the Federal governement – to the point that it’s the highest one-month surplus that we’ve ever had in the history of our country.

We brought in over $500 billion in revenues and spent about $219 billion in revenue, so we netted over $200 billion in revenue. So all this talk about the ‘budget deficit blowing up,’ the ‘budget exploding’ – tax cuts work. And the Democrats want to reverse that course, put Americans out of work, and raise your taxes

Just something to keep in mind.

Don’t worry about this wave, they don’t have any candidates again. It’s the same one that was supposed to wash Donald Trump away in Nov of 2016.

The quality of mind that was required to create the Constitution has not been seen since that document was created. The spiritual and moral strength required to write the Constitution has not been found in our Congress since that document was created. Lessor minds and morally bankrupt politicians now walk the hallowed halls of Washington DC not recognizing that their betters were historical giants and they mere bit players desperately trying to find some relevance in this grand experiment: The United States of America. MAGA by dumping this mental and moral light weights.
